A friend is a friend no matter where they are.

I have to say that I believe that friends don't have to be together to be friends. I know people online who are beautiful and are influencing me to the greatest things for me, for life and mostly for my creater. I thank God for all that. It's the fact of actually knowing people whether in person or not, I don't think it'll make a difference.

I know this is a silly topic but I thought I'd share it anyways. Hehehe...

I competely agree with you, and even i believe that Online friends are sometimes better than some real friends, because it's not based on benefit or some other unknown interets and not based on good looks, they just help each other in times of need and share their moments of joy.

Their friendship is built upon their real thoughts, hopes and fears or in another word the "real self" and not the atrificial one that all people make in a way to impress others.

You know what else, Diablo? It's a lot easier to find what you're looking for online. There are places and forums where you meet different kind of people. It's great, that's what I do and I found really wonderful people that have the same ambition I have to contribute to this world. :)

That's true, I like forums very much and visit them reguraly and I'm an active member in two of them(www.Rage3d.com, www.GameDev.net)
Whenever i need help in a problem or advice or if i need guidance i seek the forums, there's a lot of friends that i trust there, and also whenever i have time i help other people in their problems as a way to contribute to the community.

I'm fascinated by the way internet satisfies social needs, maybe someday i'll get myself to write a detailed post about it.
